My absolute nearest and dearest friend in the world, Jacqueline Lane, has finally got her jewelry website up and running. Her line, titled Maude & Collette after both her grandmothers, originally began as her final thesis project at OCAD, but quickly became so popular she decided to continue with her handmade designs after graduating in 2009. When Jacque is not spending whatever little free time she has at the jewlery studio, she is working full time at Bruce Mau as a top designer on secret projects for very big companies.

On the farm.
In the Diner.
On Sunday I scooted out to Abbotsford to shoot the new Sun Wizard video for the song ‘world’s gotta handle on it” directed by the talented Catherine Lutes. It was cold as heck, but the abundance of kittens running around the farm was enough to warm ya up right away.
Here are a few outtakes from the day.

I got to shoot Eli Bornowsky this weekend. He is a great Vancouver painter. He currently has a show at Western front. Eli was an amazing character and if I could afford it I would hang his paintings in my apartment in a heartbeat.
Here are some out takes.

It is very rare we get to see snow here in Vancouver, never mind have it actually stick around for longer than a day or so. This last week of weather has been wonderful. It reminds me of Montreal winters as a 13 year old. The best times ever!
Here are some photos from the first night of snow last week.

I’ve been home for over 2 weeks now and it seems that the post-travel blues (PTB) have final caught up with me. Those of you who have traveled I know can relate to that awful feeling of the ‘back to reality’ check. My first week home was great! I hid out in my beautiful cozy apartment with my wonderful cat Penelope catching up on 2 months of work, I had daily visits from my best friends, and I was keeping myself busy. And then, as the story goes, the reality check hits you like a brick wall; the novelty of seeing my friends, who I missed so dearly, has worn off, I have no job (thus no steady income and although I have now applied for over 16 jobs, I haven’t heard from any), I have finished all the work i needed to do, the weather has turned and I’m no longer finding myself in the tropical paradise of Africa, I miss hiking and being outside and mostly now I’m bored as heck!
Here is an update of the last 2 weeks in Vancouver. (despite the blues I’m really glad to have my friends back!)
